A fantastic actor with a profound knowing of how actors get in their own way. Robert portrayed the pivotal character Lechero, a "Kingpin" and prisoner in Fox's Prison Break. He also starred on HBO’s critically acclaimed series, The Wire, for three seasons as Major Howard Bunny Colvin, a high-ranking cop determined to give his career meaning as he nears retirement. Wisdom recently appeared in The Hawk is Dying at the Sundance Film Festival, with Paul Giamatti, Michelle Williams and Michael Pitt. In addition he had a pivotal role in the Oscar-Award winning film Ray starring Jamie Foxx.
Wisdom's rich versatility stands out in such film performances as Freedom Writers with Hilary Swank and Patrick Dempsey, Storytelling opposite Selma Blair, Duplex opposite Drew Barrymore and Ben Stiller, Barbershop 2: Back in Business with Cedric the Entertainer, and The Forgotten starring Julianne Moore. In addition, Wisdom appeared in the independent feature, Coastlines, directed by Victor Nunez. To shape his character for director Michael Radford’s Dancing At The Blue Iguana (an “improvised film”) Wisdom spent five months doing improvisation work. The film co-starred Daryl Hannah and Jennifer Tilly.
Wisdom landed his first major studio film as John Travolta’s entrusted FBI Partner in Face/Off. He followed this up with Mighty Joe Young, co-starring a young Charlize Theron, and director Kurt Voss’ underground hit, The Heist.
Wisdom’s success also includes starring in the critically acclaimed television series Cracker, opposite Robert Pastorelli. Other television credits include the telefilms If These Walls Could Talk with Demi Moore and Sahara. His guest appearances include ER, NYPD Blue, Dharma and Greg, Judging Amy, and Boomtown.
Script Supervisor on award winning films PLATOON, BORN ON THE FOUTH OF JULY, FORREST GUMP, THE GREEN MILE, and JFK.
Susan brings a perspective on career sabotage that few actors are ever fortunate to learn. From the moment an actor arrives on set, and throughout the entire filming process, Susan knows exactly what moves an actor forward to success or drops them into the distant, and often forgotten background.
“Susan Watkins’ vast experience and wealth of film making knowledge brings to her work the necessary information all actors need to learn to perform at their very best on a film set. I’ve seen her in the trenches and there’s no one better equipped to teach what it really takes to work on top tier films.”
