BookPALS

This could be your best read.

Falling literacy rates are a major problem in this country. Your talents as a performer can help provide a solution. By reading aloud to children, you can inspire them to develop their own skills and encourage a love of reading. Make the magic of words come alive with your gift of storytelling by volunteering with BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools).  To learn more, visit bookpals.net or contact Robin Roy, Director of Literacy Programs, at (323) 684-8606.

Donate Your Residuals

Give a little, give a lot.

Your small residual checks can add up to a big donation. If you would like to donate your residual checks, you must endorse them and send them directly to the SAG Foundation, 5757 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 124, Los Angeles, CA 90036 or bring them to any SAG-AFTRA Federal Credit Union office where they can be transferred directly.

If you would like to donate all of your residuals to the SAG Foundation automatically, contact Felice Myers at (323) 549-6430.

GoodSearch

Benefits from Browsing

Using the Internet can help you and your fellow actors, by doing good with GoodSearch!

After you’ve added the GoodSearch Screen Actors Guild Foundation toolbar to your Internet Explorer or Firefox search engine, shopping at one of more than 1,300 participating stores donates a percentage of your spending to the Foundation, at absolutely no extra cost to you - you may even save money with GoodSearch coupons and pricing deals.

The toolbar also has a search box that donates a penny to the SAG Foundation each time you use GoodSearch to search the Internet. No registration is required to use this useful, helpful feature – Click Here to start!

Internships

Add to your list of credits.

The SAG Foundation’s internship program allows college students to receive school credit by assisting with general office administration, special projects and event management. In the SAG Foundation’s encouraging environment, students learn about the entertainment industry with first-hand experience.

Planned Giving

Make giving a goal.

With a bit of advance planning, you can support the SAG Foundation’s efforts and aid SAG-AFTRA members in need while also furthering your own tax, financial and estate planning goals. Contributions can be in any amount in cash or a variety of other assets, immediate or deferred, during your lifetime or posthumously, through trusts, annuities, wills or pooled funds whichever best suits your individual needs. Several options provide an income stream to you or your beneficiaries for life.

Volunteer Opportunities

Give us a hand.

If you’d like to find out more about volunteering your time and skills to help us assist, educate and inspire your community of actors, contact Tina Spears, Actors Center Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator, at (323) 549-6084.
